Alex was sitting in Dave's house one day, and Dave had gone outside to do something. Alex was feeling kind of lazy, so he didn't go with Dave. After a not-so-long time, Alex got bored. Anyone with any experience with dragons knows that this is not a good thing. It's like when a dog gets bored, only worse.

Much worse. Alex started exploring Dave's house, looking for something interesting. He eventually came to the kitchen, and started looking in the refrigerator. Not finding anything very interesting in there,(Dave kept all his meat in the chest freezer in the basement.) he looked above it and opened the freezer and ended up knocking a few things on the floor.

One of those things was a rather large round container. Alex thought it looked familiar somehow, but could not remember what it was called. He decided to try and put the stuff back into the freezer. He tried picking the round container up by its handle with his mouth, but in the process he managed to lick it, and his tongue stuck right to the frost. He immediately pulled away, painfully ripping it free.

Alex, annoyed, then tried to use his claws to pick it up, wondering why he didn't try that in the first place.  He noticed the container was cracked on the bottom when his claw went though it and got some light colored cold stuff on it. Alex, curious, licked it off, and found found it tasted very sweet. So he tried a bit more, and then some more...

Before he knew it, Alex had ripped the container open completely and was eating the stuff as fast as he could. This was not very fast, as every time he took a big bite of it, it felt like his brain was on ice. But it tasted too good for him to stop. So he didn't stop. Soon, he found that the bucket was mostly empty. So he licked the last of it out.

Annoyed that it was gone, he looked around. He noticed puddles of melted good-cold-tasty stuff all over the floor, and began licking them up. Soon the the floor was again clean, but Alex still wanted more. He looked at one of the other things that fell out of the freezer, clawed it open and licked it contents. Yes! more of it! Only this stuff had lots of annoying paper on it, and was in small pieces. Alex thought those looked familiar as well.

Ahh yes. Ice cream, and Ice Cream Sandwiches. Most amazing things. Alex heard the door open as Dave walked in. Alex realized what he'd just done and suddenly felt guilty.

"Alex?" Dave asked as he came in the living room door. "Where did you go?"

    "Over here..." Alex said carefully.

Dave came in the kitchen, looked around, then at Alex, then at all the ice cream on Alex's face, and burst out laughing.

"What?" Dave asked, still grinning from ear to ear. "How did you do that?"

"I didn't mean too..." Alex said. "I just kinda got bored. So I started looking around. Then I opened the freezer, and all this stuff fell out. I tried to put it back in, but then I managed to taste it."

Alex felt very embarrassed. And guilty. Like a kid caught with his hand in a cookie jar.

"Somehow I managed to eat it all. Sorry. I didn't mean to."

"It's okay, really." Dave said, still laughing slightly. "I didn't know you liked ice cream that much. There was at least a half gallon there... And it looked like you are half of the ice cream bars too, and wrappers and all!"

"Oops. I don't think I was in complete control of myself there..." Alex said. "Sorry."

"Oh, quit apologizing! It's no big deal, though you might want to clean that ice cream off your face."

Alex stared licking his face kind of like a cat, and he managed to get most of it off. Dave picked up the remains of the ice cream bucket and the box of ice cream bars and thew them away. Then he got a soapy washcloth and wiped the floor clean so there would be no annoying sticky spots later.

Alex walked back into the living room after Dave cleaned the remaining traces of ice cream from his feet and face. He was feeling very silly, but he didn't regret eating all the ice cream.
Dave shortly followed him and sat on the couch in his usual place.

"So Alex, what do you have to say for yourself?" Dave asked.

    "I really like ice cream."
Well, since I can't seem to get the proper sequel to Wounded written, I wrote this. 775 words. Rather short, but it took me less than an hour to write.

If this does not make any sense to you, it means you have not read Wounded

What flavor ice cream? Were the ice cream bars vanilla or something else?
